OOP is a virtual community ensemble that allows musicians to make music together from the safety and comfort of their own homes.
These videos were created in isolation, and edited together to create our ensemble between October and December of 2021.
Microscopic Minuet or “Beetle’s Dance” and Reflections are two violin duets (arranged to better fit our ensemble) from Colorful Airs, a collection of duets by Danielle Rosaria. The Southern Californian violinist and composer created these two pieces during the winter months of 2017 and 2018. Alongside each composition, she also created a piece of visual art to capture the essence and character of each duet.
Danielle Rosaria draws inspiration from her spirituality, from nature, and from stories of mythology and adventure. A quote from her website reads: “I seek to bring forth truth and beauty through music and believe that music is a tool that we can use to uplift humanity.” Find out more about Danielle Rosaria and her artistic endeavors here: https://daniellerosariaviolinist.wordpress.com/
